GSM EPC5 Configuration

This procedure is for configuration of the Radisys EPC5 486DX 32MB Card

The CMOS setup on the card must be configured for your specific machine, refer to the UIC user manual.

1) On power up of the chassis (EPC5), press F2 to enter CMOS Setup.

2) CMOS has four tabs (Main, Advanced, EXM and VME), Select each tab and check the settings.


Main
setup system time, date, floppy disk, hard disk.
Drive A 1.44MB 3 1/2"
HDD Varies by machine, set Cylinders, Heads and Sectors /track. If system is already booting OS2 do not change!
HDD [C: 2000 MB] for large drives.

Advanced
L1 CACHE: Enabled
Large Disk Access Mode: [DOS]

EXM
These setting vary by machine type, refer to UIC instructions.
Set the ID, OB1and OB2 for each option.

Slot 0: EXM-9 HDD F6 07 00
Slot 1: EXM13B VGA ED 01 00
Slot 2: none
Slot 3: EXM10A F5 01 00
Slot 4: none

Optional Cards
EXP VID Board use two slots. Typically Slot 2 ED 01 00, Slot 3 F1 F9 FF
EXM-14 PC Video Slot 0 F1 F9 FF
EXM-7 COM Ports Slot 5 F8 05 03


VME
Arb Priority: 3
Arb Mode: Priority
Bus Release: RONR
ULA: FE00 (F8)
VME Boot Scan: A24 [FF000000h-FFF00000h]
Slave memory offset: Disabled
