630VME Com Port Connection

Postby unidec » Mon Sep 08, 2008 4:09 pm

The ESI 630VME Vision System has a provision for a console com port connection. This port allows configuration of the boot settings and RTOS setup. Connecting to this port should only be done to monitor the boot process, changing parameters to incorrect settings can make the card inoperable - be careful!

When the card boots you will need to hit the escape key [esc] several times to stop the BUSPIPE from starting. Once the boot interrupts, you can enter the "SET" command at the "=>" prompt. Simply hit enter, "set" enter and view the settings that dump to the screen.
